At Hive & Wellness, we passionately believe it’s our responsibility to respect the health of our planet.
We do this by protecting Australia’s honeybees that do so much for us. Because it’s not us that makes honey, it’s Australia’s littlest livestock, the honeybee, and the often-forgotten farmers, our beekeepers, who care for them.
Access to healthy floral resources is key to a sustainable and viable Australian Apiculture industry. Hive & Wellness is dedicated to futureproofing the important profession of beekeeping in Australia. As such, we are committed to protecting our beekeepers’ access to much needed resources to ensure Australian honey supply, a healthy Aussie bee population and thriving ecosystem for generations to come.
Hive & Wellness has made a long-term commitment to Australian Apiculture through joint ventures with other esteemed honey brands and successful commercial beekeeping operations. Through these investments, Hive & Wellness has created more employment and educational opportunities in addition to supporting innovation and ongoing research within the small, yet important, Australian Apiculture industry.
Proud industry partners
Hive & Wellness recognises and highly values the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council and all State Beekeeping Associations for their dedication to actively representing the interests of beekeepers within our network. As such, we have proudly supported a range of initiatives run by these important organisations across our 70+ years.
Hive & Wellness is proud to be recognised as a key strategic partner of The Australian Manuka Honey Association (AMHA), the leading national body for the production and promotion of Manuka honey in Australia. In this capacity, Hive & Wellness led the trademark legal battle to protect the rights of Australian Manuka Honey producers to continue to be able to sell their product under the globally recognised name ‘Manuka’.
Our Beekeepers
Beekeeping isn’t just a vocation, it’s often a family tradition. Many of our beekeepers have passed their craft down to their children and grandchildren, who continue to supply their honey to us today.
