Barnes Naturals is amongst the oldest honey brands in Australia. The brands origins began in regional Victoria in 1876 when brothers W, James and Fred Barnes rented a small shop in St Kilda, Melbourne for five shillings a week and became Australian pioneers of the honey packing business. According to the Richmond Guardian in 1915, the brothers started the business as a means of helping their cousins in the beekeeping trade pack their excess honey.
