Each year Hive & Wellness completes thousands of tests to ensure the origin and quality of our honey! Every batch of honey blended on our sites is subject to testing as part of the product realisation process. These tests can include such analyses as moisture, colour, adulteration, sugar profiles, pesticides, antibiotics, enzymes, antibacterial activity, pollen and microbial profiling. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only company in the industry that does this level of wide-ranging testing, ensuring the superior quality of our products.
Our Sci-Test laboratory is the only one of its kind in the Southern hemisphere, ensuring accuracy and best practice compliance for our analytical methods in testing honey for microbial and chemical residues. Sci-Test allows Hive & Wellness to provide unparalleled quality assurances to our customers and to demonstrate that our honey is just as nature intended.
Best practice food management
All Hive & Wellness Australian production facilities have implemented best practice food management systems based on the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Standards. We also maintain Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification. Both programs are globally recognised food safety standards that far surpass that required by a backyard honey extraction operation or other, less-accredited, honey packers.
At each of our production sites, these systems are independently audited by an accredited certification body. We are proud that all of our facilities meet the stringent requirements of the prestigious BRCGS food safety management system.
